I know you were all on the edge of your seats waiting for this one! In order to protect the privacy of its members' citizens, the EU requires websites to ask your consent to place cookies on your computers. As such, PG-HQ has added a link at the bottom of every page to our official Cookie Policy. We actually make almost no use of cookies, and certainly not in any way that could violate one's privacy. Nevertheless, we are now Directive compliant. Yay! |

On July 10th our automated statistics updating tool silently died. It was responsible for updating Bounties, Tours of Duty, Ratings, Play Balance, Owners & Players, Combat Effectiveness, Head to Head Results, and Game Popularity statistics... so pretty much everything. The good news is I have resurrected it from the dead with only partial brain damage: the individual rating graphs found at Statistics & Rankings - Rating Statistics are temporarily broken. Everything else is back in good running order. Because we had accrued a backlog of more than 700 update tasks, I have set the tool to run steadily yet slowly so as not to overload our little database server. All site statistics should be up to date within 12 hours from this posting. Sorry 'bout that!!! |

The only cookie I have seen is a "Logon" cookie. It lasts about a week, then gets reset, deleted, or otherwise expires. I noticed it because my browser wouldn't auto-logon after I would do a Spybot scan. I wish more sites were as innocuous as this one.
Yep, that's the one. If you don't accept that cookie there's no way to keep you logged-in, so that one is inescapable if we're to offer member-specific content like average ratings, collections, plays and AARs, etc. :-)
