After over a decade of reliable delivery, Gmail has suddenly decided we are spam and is blocking most messages. If you should have received an email from PG-HQ and did not, please email admin@pg-hq.com and let me know. I'll resend it via other means. Of course Gmail happily and successfully sends mail TO us, it suddenly just doesn't accept mail back FROM us. Jerks. I'm working on a fix. In the meantime this message will remain pinned. |

Thank you for the time and effort you put into watching and working around the insanity of the current zeitgeist....
It would be laughable, if it wasn't such a fricking pain in the neck.... "Sure, I've got all the free time in the world to deal with you new foolishness....."...said no one....
The internet is a far different place from when we hung our shingle out way back in 2010. Ads everywhere, tracking, opt-in to this, opt-out to that, blah blah blah. A lot less fun. PG-HQ looks dated and simple, but we don't have an agenda and we don't try to monetize our friends.

Something is screwed up with your data pull, for tireless campaigner at least. You have me noted as the runner up but I, embarassingly, logged 0 plays in the time period.
After further review, the problem was between the chair and the computer. My eyes glazed over after so many treadasaurusrexes and I updated the turn count on the runner-up but not the recipient. :-)
Another reason that PG-HQ should only count shared play games, and not solitaire battles in the player stats.
Tambu is right, we should not be counting solitaire plays in the PG-HQ stats unless the player provides an AAR. The player competition and rankings should be based on shared play results, only. We can't compare apples to oranges. Shared play with another human requires skills, tact and patience that is not necessary in solitaire play-throughs.
Thanks for the fix. I guess now you know someone reads the things right? :)
Should be easy to have a more productive year this time around when comparing to 0 during my move year lol
Tambu and Tankodactyl are right. Counting solo plays in the overall player stats is silly. The real test of any PG game is in shared play and the scenario ratings should be based on player vs player results, only.

Afrika Korps #2 will forever disrupt the Tireless Warrior award.
Its 199 turns but makes you skip a ton of them
Yeah Gunny was surprised when that award popped up on his profile. I suppose we could DQ it from consideration...
I was just poking a bit of fun. It is an odd circumstance though. If anyone actually cares, the most elegant solution is probably to revise the scenarios turn count # to exclude the "skipped" sandstorm turns. Thats its own can of worms.
I say let it ride as is but tease whomever wins with it ;)
