All of these annual awards are based on what we call the PG-HQ Year, in this case - Year 6 - all activity from June 6th 2015 to June 5th 2016, inclusive. Furthermore, in order to be eligible for an award you must have played and recorded at least 6 battles during this period. That's equivalent to achieving our first promotion from Recruit to Private. The reasoning is if you can't play once every 2 months you probably don't deserve an award!
Also, don't forget that the full list of yearly winners for each award is in our Hall of Fame!
This award is totally pointless but I love it anyway.
At 08:56:39 on 2015 June 6th, U.S Central Time, thomaso827 added the first play of PG-HQ's sixth year. Congratulations buddy, you and your play for Kursk - Burning Tigers #3 were FIRST! in Year 6.
Unawarded! Articles fell by the wayside AGAIN in Year 6. Shame on all of you sending your content to the AP site instead of sharing it here! :-P ... but I'm not blameless. I have a half-written article on VASSAL play stashed away somewhere on this hard drive.
Congratulations thomaso827, you have successfully defended your 2015 title and are the 2016 Player of the Year with an impressive 81 scenarios logged between 2015 June 6th and 2016 June 5th!

What a great rivalry, you guys should co-author an article for PG-HQ about the meta game!
- Runner-up: dricher, 11 plays
Plays are the fuel that drives our statistics, but the character, the nature of Panzer Grenadier only truly seeps forth from our After Action Reports. Congratulations thomaso827 who not only defended his 2015 title with 81 AARs but also tallied a second consecutive 100% AAR rate!

In Conclusion
Panzer Grenadier Headquarter's sixth year saw fewer plays and AARs overall, but our members are happier with the system than they've ever been before. Our lowest average rating - 3.06 - was not only the highest in history, but also above the 3.0 ratings midpoint for the first time. Our highest average rating - 4.47 - was almost fanatically high and also set a new record!
thomaso827 took home a stunning 9 awards to go on the digital mantle beside the 8 he won last year. Coupled with his 4.47 average rating it's fair to say that Panzer Grenadier is his paradise and we're all just living in it!
Panzer Grenadier grew by over 100 scenarios this past year. Raise your hand if you foresaw that five years ago when we broke the 1,500 scenario barrier! Thanks to our hardworking developers for churning out new quality content!
See you all next year!
