In September 1939, German armies rolled into Poland to ignite the Second World War. The Polish Army, with little hope of foreign aid and soon stabbed in the back by the Soviet Union, fought with suicidal courage for four week weeks before succumbing to superior numbers. The Germans suffered 50,000 casualties, the Poles almost 200,000. Five years of terror and murder would follow. White Eagles is a supplement for the Panzer Grenadier series adding the Polish Army of 1939 to the game series. There are 40 new scenarios, or game situations, and 165 new die-cut and mounted playing pieces representing them. |
