Following their defeat in the Battle of the Coral Sea, the Japanese attempted to capture the strategic Port Moresby on New Guinea's southern coast with an assault across the Owen Stanley Mountains. For five months Australian and Japanese troops battled along the narrow Kokoda Trail, across appalling terrain of high mountains and through thick jungles. Both sides suffered over 6,000 casualties, and the campaign became known as "Australia's Thermopylae." |

With the role playing leaders, replace "you can only substitute your leaders for those of equivalent or lower rank in a scenario" with "you can only substitute your leaders for those of ANY rank in a scenario". (PG-Tank Dude
on 2010 Apr 30)

|
One of the medals the Australians can earn in KoTr requires that a unit the leader activates in an assault destroys a tank step. However, there are no tanks in any of the KoTr campaign scenarios. Since the next deadliest thing in Kokoda Trail is HMGs, the medal can be earned for destroying an HMG step. (Shad

Scen 3 |
The Australian OB calls for a total of four Sergeants, but there are only three in Afrika Korps. I played the scenario assuming C Company (4 INF) needed only one SGT, and not two. (willdeworde
on 2014 Dec 02)
|
Scen 4 |
The order of battle in the scenario calls for 2 Japanese Army Sergeants. There is only 1 Sergeant counter in the Guadalcanal mix. As it seems there are plenty of leaders in this scenario, I left out that last leader. Alternatively you could add another Lieutenant. (thomaso827
on 2014 Aug 29)
|
Scen 7 |
Scenario 7 calls for 10 SER platoons. There are only 9 in the Guadalcanal mix. As many platoons and leaders as are present in this scenario, I didn't see it as a problem and recommend just using the 9 platoons. (thomaso827

Scen 20 |
Ignore the "no units in hexes adjacent to any other unit" condition for the Australian 2/33rd Battalion. (rerathbun
