Introduction
The initial attack on Jagodny came in the northern portion of the sector, and was repulsed with heavy losses. But the following attack, undertaken by the Soviet 610th Rifle Regiment, took the defenders by surprise. It came from the east, which was much more lightly guarded. The Soviets managed to infiltrate and take Bachmutkin during the morning hours. Soviet pressure mounted as troops moving out of the village started threatening Italian artillery positions and moving to cut off Jagodny. And to make matters worse, additional enemy troops were approaching Bachmutkin from the northeast.
Conclusion
The only available reserves were the motorcycle units to the south and west of Bachmutin, which were ordered to take back the village at all costs. The counterattack was preceded by German air attacks, and by heavy barrages from Italian artillery. The motorcyclists were joined in their assault by a group from the Savoia regiment (the other group was covering the right flank). The attack was fast and furious and drove the Soviets back to their starting positions.

The CSIR Motorcycle units in Fronte Russo are 5-3/3-3. When using pieces from Afrika Korps or Desert Rats (for the extra 6 Motorcycle units that appear as reinforcements), remember that their flipped strength should really be 3-3 (not 2-3 as in those other games).

The reduced direct fire value in Kursk: Burning Tigers is 4-4.
