Soviet armies began their offensive to isolate the Hungarian capital of Budapest in October 1944. The city would be surrounded in December. During that time, as German and Hungarian troops fought to keep the Soviets from completing the encirclement, fighting stubborn defensive actions backed by repeated counter-attacks. Fire & Sword: Battles for Hungary 1944 is a complete Panzer Grenadier game based on the Soviet effort to encircle Budapest and the German/Hungarian efforts to stop them. |

The German Victory condition state they must exit 12 or more steps off the (easy) by the end of the scenario, but since they already start setup on the eastern map number 53, the victory conditions have to be exit off the western edge of the maps, map #50. (JayTownsend

The designer posted this in the forums: When reading the special rules of scenario 34 "Tank battle at Pázmand", as published, I suspect there is an error in special rule 4 "Mire". Last sentence of that rule is "Substract one from the Mire die roll result". It should be "Add one to the Mire die roll result". The tanks should be mired on a dr = 1, only.
