Introduction |
---|
The 15tb "Scottish" Infantry Division, reinforced with the 158th Infantry Brigade of the 43rd Infantry Division and the 34th Tank Brigade, launched Operation Greenline. To the east the heavily reinforced Glascow Highlanders took the first step with an attack on Esquay. |
Conclusion |
---|
The British attack crumpled the German line and captured le Bon Repos, the village just north of Esquay. In conjunction with advances elsewhere, the German line had been stretched almost to the breaking point again. Daylight, however wold expose the eastern flank of the advance to fire from Hill 112. |
