Introduction

A search of a dead German officer had yielded a map and documentation of the defenses in the area. The regiment wanted to capitalize on this intelligence windfall, and assigned Major Emmet O'Connor to lead Companies F and L deep behind enemy lines to take the Germans by surprise. Long before daylight the men set out, encircling the enemy positions. Once the enemy was well engaged from the west the major and his men leapt from their hiding places to strike the unwitting Germans from the rear.

Conclusion

The Germans had been holding their own on Hill 505 until Major O'Connor's attack from the rear confused and disorientated them. Resistance there quickly crumbled and long before noon the Nisei were heading for their next objective, La Broquaime, which was soon secured.

Additional Notes

This scenario is an updated version of the "Task Force O'Connor" scenario from the 1st edition of Go for Broke.
