There is no difference in scenarios or battle games between the 2nd and 3rd editions of Go For Broke. The essential difference between the 2nd & 3rd editions is the addition of 2 articles after the Go for Broke Story by Mike Perryman. Those are They Said No: Nisei Resistance and Canada's Shame. In February 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued the first of a series of executive orders that would send over 100,000 American citizens to concentration camps. One year later, a Japanese-American regiment began to form. The 442nd Regimental Combat Team, eventually also including the 100th Infantry Battalion formed in Hawaii, racked up more decorations than any regiment in American military history: 18,143 awards for battlefield valor, including 21 Medals of Honor. This stellar service by the young Nisei (the Japanese term for second generation Japanese-Americans) serves as a meaningful counterpoint to the internment order. |
