Korean War: Pusan Perimeter, scenario #33: Easy Company In 18 turns the ROK/American forces must eliminate 4 steps of North Korean units to win. However, the NKPA setup in the far northwest hill dug-in and with their two mortar units tucked behind them and the hill. The North Korean setup on the clear hill hexes in support of each other with a great view of the battlefield. The NKPA also have an 8/7 morale verses the South Korean/American’s 7/6 morale. It take the Americans and ROK forces a while to reach the NKPA forces and the North Koreans rain down double stacked 82mm mortar fire on the Allied forces. The Americans and ROK forces attack uncoordinated with each other against dug-in NKPA and fail terribly as their time was short. The North Korean win this days battle. |
