The Germans have to take the town in the center of the map. They have the US forces caught in between a Wehrmacht and a SS force, which combined greatly outnumber the US. The forward US defenses fall quickly to the SS onslaught from the east as the Wehrmacht move through the woods to the west. Disaster befalls the US armor in a shooting match with the German armor, losing 3 platoons. The US fall back in order though, and grind the Germans down to an attrition battle in the forest. The US barely holds the town for a win, but a longer game would have seen the Germans, though depleted, sweeping a completely wrecked US force.
