Korean War: Counter-Attack, scenario #61: ROK Advance

A simple task, the ROK (South Koreans) with their supporting American M46 Patton tanks, air support and off board artillery must eliminate enemy steps and exit as many step as possible off the north edge of the map by the end of the scenario. The totals determine each side’s victory levels.

One small errata the ROK setup on anywhere on map 115 as pictured not map 112 which isn’t even in play.

Originally I setup the NKPA (North Koreans) forward on map 113 but then decided to reset them up on map 113 toward the rear on the north side of the river. I guess I out thought themselves as forward positions would have been better and cost the ROKs more time to fight their way across the map. My setup on the north side of the river helped little as the river is only minor in this scenario and I had to spread out my North Korean too far to cover the whole map, with little time to react or adjust. The South Koreans blew a hole through the NKPA thin line and destroyed 8 enemy steps in the process as well as poured 22 steps off the north edge of the map for Major ROK Victory.
