The US set up around the north/south 40 mtr hills and in the center just to their rear, creating a kill sack for the advancing Germans. The SS however, saw the flanks as the weak point and attacked both. The northern hill was contained with 3 companies and armor support. The US right in the south was strong, but the Germans threw the weight of their attack against it. As it crumbled, the German armor took advantage. The US reinforced the right, but it couldn’t hold. As the flank folded, the German armor ran through the center and behind the US right, taking the town hexes and destroying the US arty. The US tried desperately to rush some AT guns back to the town, but they too were destroyed. German win.
