This was a straight forward assault on the beach. The Japanese set up across the beach but gave up some ground in the north in order to take advantage of the towns and to be able to provide inter locking fields of fire. their goal was to kill as many marines as they could. The marines assault with a reinforced force in the north due to the heavy defense ion the main town and balanced forces in the center and south. I split the beach into three sectors: north, center and south. The Marines came ashore, dismounted the AMTRACs and assaulted every position they could. The large town in the north was enveloped. but the Japanese had positions in all three sectors hold out until the end, and in the south had three positions so it almost looked like they would pull of a victory. But the marines prevailed and overcame all positions but only in the last two turns. This was a bloody scenario, the Japanese were virtually annihilated with only an infantry platoon, an infantry gun and five leaders surviving. The marines lost 17 steps, many of those LVT-4s and three leaders. One of the best PG scenarios I've played to date.
