The Soviets set up a blocking force in Bukuluk, enough to hold up he German advance. This did exactly that, as the Soviets put fire down constantly on the advancing Germans. The Germans did take it, but paid the price. Upon attacking the second Soviet line they were stopped cold, channeled in to Soviet fields of fire by the minefields and hammered relentlessly. The German losses steadily eroded their ability to attempt to crack the second line. The Soviets won handily. |
