A Bad Situation |
---|
Americans set up in the woods, Germans close to the bridge. Neither side rolled well to start, with no real damage to either. German reinforcements came early, and the Americans made a dash for the bridge before they could reach it. As it was, German artillery and Opportunity Fire whittled down the Americans, weakening them before the Germans moved it. The assaults on the bridge hex went back and forth, but there were too many Germans. In the end, the Germans held the bridge and eliminated five American steps for the win. One note: I'm not sure why board 4 is used in this scenario. None of the units set up on it. The German reinforcements are allowed to enter on board 4, but they have no reason to do so since it is farther from the objective hex. |
