Scenario GofB022

Warning**, Do not attempt to play this solo. Both sides have hidden units and the search for these units and the impact of the search on achieving victory conditions is critical.

Still the need for the American force to find the hidden Germans to permit them to avoid losing either the hill or the east west road victory conditions forces a dispersal of force that, in 15 turns could be critical.

At the same time, the hidden Task Force O'Connor can be searched for by the German although finding them creates a real issue for the Germans given the surprise modifier it creates.

In my play the force entering the board cleared the hill and found the hidden Germans at the south end of the hill by Turn 6. It took until turn 9 to finish off the hidden Germans by which time TF O'Connor had revealed itself and fought its way into La Broquaime. At the end of Turn 10 La Broquaime was being assaulted from both sides, the Americans already had control of 1/2 of the town and the German major had just been captured triggering a decapitation. The Germans fought bravely but they simply didn't have the firepower necessary to hold up the Nisei and the morale advantage was deadly in the town hexes. By turn 13 it was all over.

There are a ton of choices for both sides in this scenario and with smaller forces it is well suited for a face to face or chat session. It finishes quickly and has quite a bit of tension to it. Even as a solo play I found it fun. I give it a "4" played solo but played ftf it would probably carry a 5.
