Sneaking Around at Night |
---|
Poles advanced south on the road. Germans had infantry and AT guns set up in town and armor spread out across board, forward of infantry. Initial tank vs. tank battles saw losses on both sides. Polish infantry disembarked from trucks near town and proceeded south to the east of the town, using the 2 hex spotting distance to stay out of range. The Germans reacted and sent tanks and infantry southeast into woods. The Poles exited two steps of armor and three steps of infantry off the south edge before the Germans slowed their advance. There was no further advance by the Poles and the game turned into numerous small battles on the southeast area of the board and the wheatfield. The Poles held a large initial lead, but a number of late casualties allowed the Germans to catch up slightly, although the Poles held on for a 36-26 minor victory. Good scenario. Need to play again. |
