Scenario PiOT001

The Czechs formed their defensive line between the towns on the two map boards and gave the flanks of that lesser attention. The objective was to have a defense that could pull in the flanks toward the two towns. The area between the two towns got more attention so that the Germans could not penetrate in the area between the towns. The Germans, for their part, decided to split their forces and attack both towns simultaneously. At first the Germans took a lot of casualties, so much so that it looked as if the Czechs would hold the line. Particularly since the Germans could get no decision in their assaults. They just went on (...and on, and on!) The entire Czech defensive line finally collapsed around 10:00 am and lost a lot of troops in so doing. This loss made up for the losses the Germans received earlier on and all the Germans had to do then was to secure a road North for the win. (Note - This was an interesting scenario that could have gone either way and comes highly recommended.)
