This is a nice quick play scenario that is a bit deceptive. The Germans seem outnumbered but the compartmentalized terrain and short time to accomplish the mission put pressure on the Americans. In our game the US tired to flank the town from the start and held back the Stuarts until a foothold was gain, not wanting to face the Pz IVHs. The Americans started feeling the pressure and went for the assault on the west-most town hex. It didn't go well, as they got shot up in the first round and then in the next turn, the SS luckily got the initiative, counterattacked and wiped out the American company assaulting the town. The Amis decided to pull back and wait for another day. |
