The initial setup had the Germans aligned north to south along the first 20-meter high ridgeline on the northern half of the map, with a small Engineer contingent ready to move north and reinforce. The Americans plan is to fix several German machine gun positions and then flank from either the north or south of the 40-meter hills.

The first half of the battle saw the Americans struggle to secure a foothold on the 20-meter northern and southern portions of the ridgeline. American smoke, artillery and HMG Platoons firing within 400m fix the Germans in the center, although do not cause many hard step losses. The Americans finally find success on the northern half of the ridge, eliminating a weakened German Infantry Platoon and forcing back the German Engineer Platoon reinforcements as the counterattack form south to north. The Americans advance from the south with four Infantry Platoons, threatening to infiltrate the German mortar and 75mm IG positions from the flank.

The second half saw multiple, chaotic assaults break out across the hilltop, as the Americans attempt to throw the Germans off and the Germans attempt to shore up the defense. The Germans make the Americans bleed, slowing their advance at the cost of many steps on the German defense. The Americans assault and manage to eliminate the German indirect fire and infantry gun. The Germans slow the Americans further, destroying three American HMG Platoons in a single turn, and at the end of the battle the Germans retain the 40-meter hill. However, the Americans manage to bypass the Germans with a Infantry Platoon and eliminate more German than American steps, eeking out as the victors.

Conclusion: American Minor Victory
