The advancing Germans cleared the first line of the Soviet defenses on map 43, they used their PzIVe and F2s in the lead to draw Soviet AT fire, the German engineers did their best to clear any mines blocking the road, but they took heavy fire from Soviet OBA & Stalin's Organs once in range. Several Panther steps were lost due to breakdowns as they had to maneuver around the mines going cross country. The main fight was in and around the town of Cherkasskoye where the Soviet Guards were dug-in around. Fighting was heavy but the Germans fire support from the Tigers, Grille and remaining Panthers helped. Taking advantage of the set up rules, once committed the German reinforcements headed straight for the north map edge to win that VP objective.
