Scenario AlWa004

The scenario started slowly as I approached the hill. Muskeg rarely results in miring, which was helpful. Firing from distance had no effect on the Japanese, so I closed for assaults. Despite coordinating enough firepower to roll on the 24 column multiple times, I inflicted exactly 1 step loss on JPN throughout the scenario. Once my assault teams were exhausted I threw in the towel.

Misc Thoughts

  • Peter made devastating use of dug-in first fire rights during assault.
  • Miring from muskeg is not to be feared.
  • JPN drew terrible leaders (no mods at all). Anything stronger would have been a much shorter battle.
  • Conversely U.S. had very good leaders, which allowed some nice column shifts (to little effect, sadly).
