Scenario AirI007

This was a rather lackluster scenario at best. Very few units on both sides to start, and the outcome almost completely dependent on what Stronghold markers were drawn by the Germans. By turn 7 (0630) the game had already settled into a stalemate with the US defending town hex 0604 and hex 0504. At most they could muster 16 DF points and firing on the 7 DF column while attempting to soften up the GER controlled town hex at 0803. A few turns later and we both called the scenario situation a stalemate and a draw. Overall, the US couldn't gain enough momentum or strength to assault the town and dislodge the Germans. Nor could the GER side do much damage to the US defenses. Upon the GER reinforcements coming into focus, the US plan was to retreat and set up a strong defensive situation in town hex 0509 and play for the draw. We called it at that point and said "Good Game"....and then proceeded to talk about history and some other games we had on our "to-play" list coming up.
