Conquest of Ethiopia, scenario # 13: Graziani’s War: Olol Dinle Strikes Again I love this game and the unique subject and cool maps and all the scenarios I have played so far, I have enjoy but this one didn’t hit the mark. The Ethiopians attack six fortified entrenchments, all linked and surrounded by dug-in units to boot, not to mention it starts at night with lot of woods terrain. Not much maneuver, as the southern side of the map, the river can only be crossed at two bridges but one is right in front of an Italian entrenchment. The Italian Colonial troops take some losses on the perimeter but blunt all Ethiopian attempts to take control of any entrenchments or kill the Italian General Olol Dinle. A major Italian Victory. The first scenario I didn’t enjoy that much, from a game that has some good ones. Maybe because the Ethiopians rolled so poorly on most of their assault attempts and the majority of the battle was assaults with weak units. |
