Jungle Fighting #40 | ||||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
This one is pretty disappointing after #39. It has none of the interesting factors at play there. Here we have a raider force on a hill in the jungle that has to repel a Japanese attack from 2 sides, while both keep casualties at a low. Japanese have basically no chance to win, because their force is just weaker, while on the attack across open ground, against that terrain. The best move for them is likely to just dance in the jungle and force the draw. I actually had them attack despite their low chances to at least hope the dice went their way. They didn't. Massed op fire was enough to tear up the Japanese western advance across open ground and get kill count. Raider set up wasnt interesting either. Just set 3xraid in 3 hexes to support each other and dig in on any turn they arent shooting. Pretty mindless stuff. There are also some set up issues, and very cumbersome American OBA rules for this one, that ultimately have little effect. |
