This time the Americans get 3 battalions and higher morale. They must take more entrenchments though. Other than that, and the opened up western flank, this one is similar to the rest in the series so I will be fairly brief. The Americans can and did hit the Japanese from all sides, causing them to spread out and become very thin. They are only able to manage one counterattack stack which does see off some HMGs but other than that this is a slow, grindy, race against the clock for the Americans to pound the Japanese to dust and move in. They do eventually get there, but the biggest opponent is jungle activations and FoW rather than the Japanese. This is pretty poor on balance towards the other side for once |
