Jungle Fighting #10 | ||||||||||||

Why stay in your entrenchments when you can chase the Americans off the board? Japanese have a set line of entrenchments on the board edge and the Americans have to take 1 for a draw, or 2 for the win. They have powerful OBA that only lasts a few turns, otherwise just a battalion of morale 7 infantry vs the Japanese with 9. Early OBA is largely ineffective, causing 1 step loss and a handful of disruptions before it goes way. American INF advance through the spit of jungle up the middle dividing the entrenchment line, while the HMGs flank the Japanese left with a company. Japanese have their HMG and 70s on the wings, with their X3 INF stacks in the middle ready to jump out and assault as soon as the OBA is gone. They do so, and are basically unstoppable due to the stackable assault bonuses. At the cost of 6 steps, they fully wipe the Americans from the board aside from 1 fleeing demed infantry way in the back. Completely ahistorical and poorly balanced nonsense but this is typically how morale 9 turns out in PZG. Probably deserves a 1, but w/e, id be handing out a lot of 1s in this module so i had to lower the bar a bit. |
