Not Much of a Battle... | ||||||||||||

A few platoons of paratroopers attempted to silence an artillery piece and take control of two towns from a few meager German infantry platoons. One town was taken by the Americans midway through the game and they held it-the other was continually assaulted but the Germans could not be dislodged by the lightly-armed paratroops. The US Infantry arrived a few turns from the finish but the paratroops had done so little damage to the German defenders even the additional troops and tanks couldn't get the job done. The Germans suffered 3 step losses as well as losing two of their three leaders including their Captain... but they were able to prevent the Americans from owning both towns, thus the game ended in a draw. |
