I like the Guadalcanal game set, and I know it’s old but there is so much good history in this set. And the map is great, it’s always super playing on a semi historic landscape.

Well, the Japanese won by the fact that they knocked out 7 steps of Marines, but, those Marines took out all but a stack of SNLF infantry/machine gun troops and two leaders. A bloody fight it was. But in the end, these early war Marines have a very difficult time taking out SNLF fanatics in caves without tanks or flamethrowers. And that was where this group of die hards were lurking.

But damn, the Marines secured everything else. But at a heavy cost.
