The Soviets tried to be clever and charged up the road to meet the Axis head on. The Romanians aim was to flank the Russians on both sides and stay out of normal range. This worked well as the Axis tanks were fast and managed to charge to the exit point unscathed. But late on the Soviets destroyed 2 steps, and then a third, and the unit was disrupted. The remainder of the Axis units had left the scene, probably a mistake, so the Soviets charged towards the lone unit. A T34 fired and succeeded in the kill, and a Draw was achieved.
