#16 Reinforcing Failure |
---|
The Polish infantry did a good job of slowing the Germans advance by putting up a good defense with support from their artillery, while two of their AT batteries knocked out 6 German panzer steps until they were eventually knocked out themselves opening up the Polish right flank and center but this took too much time for the Germans who were just able to get 12 units across the river before the end of the scenario. This was another scenario in the PG Universe where good ordered leaders made a huge difference in the outcome of the game, 9 out of 12 German leaders had a morale modifier that helped them maintain order and rallied disrupted and demoralized platoons. The morale for German infantry was 7/6 but a 1 morale modifier made it more like 8/7. The Germans just barely won a minor victory in the final turns of the scenario, they never did get control of the north-south road. |
