The mistakes we learn from |
---|
This one was very early in my playing experience. I have to say that I have a soft spot in my heart for the Romanians and will play their scenarios just to see those yellow units. In any event, this was the scenario where I found that cross fire on AFVs is critical when you are undergunned, that loss of leaders is massively important (duh), that assault can be useful to pin a position as well as to take it, especially when you are working with small numbers of troops, and finally that moving weapons within direct fire range is suicide (see Civil War experience forward to today). Still the experience was fun and the results fascinating as a very simple game system was reproducing historically valid lessons. |
