Scenario EFDx003

This scenario has a great flow to it. The Romanians attack and try to take the town using their speed and shock value, despite their vulnerability to direct fire. They have to be bold though because 1/2 way through the time of the scenario, substantial Soviet reinforcements arrive (or should we say can arrive...). If the Romanians are not safely within the town by then they stand a very high probability of being crushed.

In this case, the Romanians could have taken their time and reduced their losses. The Soviet reinforcements can arrive as early as turn 13. They took until turn 21 to arrive (there are only 30 turns) and when they arrive they have to form up for an assault, taking another 2-3 turns (30-45 minutes).

The threat of the reinforcements, however, was enough to make the Romanians feel real pressure to dispatch the starting Soviets quickly and take chances to do so. This was a pretty fascinating little action.
