Leyte 1944, Scenario Forty-Four: Lost Angels Ok, a small errata, the American 11th Airborne units setup first and the Japanese second. Also, the Americans only have one LT Colonel in the counter mix, so use a Colonel for the second, it doesn’t matter which force. An Interesting situation, the Japanese setup mostly on map 82 and on the board with map 100. The Japanese have to both prevent the American Airborne units on map 100 from making off the western edge of map 83 but at the same time defend against the Americans from the 7th Infantry Division entering map 83 to rescue the 11th Airborne units which are short on supplies and food. The Japanese end up getting sandwiched between the two American groups which after some battling open up holes in time for the 11th Airborne to escape in enough numbers in 28 turns to win the scenario. Fun to play because of the movement both sides have to do but I think this one favor the Americans. |
