Leyte 1944, Scenario Twenty-Two: Bloody Ridge

If you want the ultimate challenge for the American forces, this is the scenario. Somewhere the scenario changed in development in map configuration and victory conditions but with the Americans having a 7/6 morale and the Japanese having a slightly larger force and even getting Japanese air-support the Americans can only hope to get maybe one victory objective at best and they better use their smoke at the right times for cover.

It took me almost 5 turns of movement before the Americans made contact with the Japanese forces. At about turn 12 I called the match, as I had lost 6 American steps to 1 Japanese step and was nowhere close to achieving any victory conditions. So if you like challenging scenarios or you want to give a new player good chance to win against and experienced player, this scenario might work.
