The Germans defended Hill 606 on board 25 with a sizable force. Although this held up the US forces for a few hours, the Buffaloes took their time getting on to the board. So TF Doan finally wore down the German defense the Buffaloes could not counterattack to retake the hill. The Buffaloes settled in to defend Schneidmuhle but without the Panther platoon they could not halt the Americans from exiting in off the north edge for a minor American victory. I think a key for the Germans is to hold that Panther platoon ion reserve to prevent the American Halftracks from heading north.
