Soviets set up in towns on board 18 and in curved area of board 12. Finns entered from center of board and moved toward center. Soviets held them off for half the game but with heavy losses. Finns then began advancing toward board 18 already having enough points to win a major victory. The Finns cleared out the few remaining Soviet units on their way to the large town. Once at the town they surrounded it, but as the game ended they had yet to penetrate the Soviet defenses. In the end the Finns scored an overwhelmng 44-7 victory by eliminating 40 Soviet steps with the loss of only a single step. The Soviets could possibly make a better game of it by concentrating their forces more, especially near the towns on board 18, but it will still be a struggle. That being said, still a fun scenario to play solo.
