The Soviet Recon force probed ahead of the main body trying to uncover where the Canadians had deployed but their leading units, a platoon of T44s was wiped out by an unseen 17lbr battery, while a company infantry moved up to assist, they came under intense artillery fire. The main body of Soviet Motor Rifle troops come on the map and deployed near their objective with the idea of overwhelming the Canadian infantry. The Canucks put up a stubborn resistance with one town hex exchanging hands several times before the Soviet were able to take control. The Canucks won this scenario by reducing the Soviet initiative to zero. Played using optional rules 15 & 16 and house rule on efficient ATGs if they had a moral of 8 or higher. |
