First attempt at PG Modern, started with something small, just to see how different PGM was. This scenario has hidden units so playing solo can be challenging but made do with my secret house rules. The RM are spread out over the map trying to interdict the Egyptian forces (the Egyptians get VPs for steps exited off west edge), lucky for the RM there is plenty of rocky terrain, sand dunes and town hexes to restrict the movement of the Egyptian forces. Needless to say, the leading elements of the Egyptian forces were ambushed with devastating consequences, but the follow-on forces were able to deploy and engage the RM, with limited success due to low morale, poor leadership and dice rolls. Not a bad start to PGM. |
