The Moroccans built themselves a extremely strong defense line along the high ground in the middle of the playing field (0705-0708) and anchored either end with minefields and tied in the towns. The Germans tried the middle approach and the North town at first and got nowhere and thereafter tried their luck on the North town.... also to no avail. The only thing that the Germans had going for them was a line of assaults (0901-0904) to try to win a few points, but could not defeat the French/Moroccan defenders in time.
