A defensive line was set blocking the road through the first town on the approach march from the East. The woods anchored the North and South end of it and the town was in the middle. This proved to be sufficient to hold the Hungarians until the South flank folded, but it was to little - too late to accomplish much else. Another example of a good defensive position vs an offensive thrust. |
