Control of the 40m, 60m and town hexes plus the usual steps eliminated are the keys to victory for both sides in this scenario. The Romanians are on the defensive, have strong but outnumbered infantry forces supported by a mixed armor force of T4s, TAs and a TAC60 platoon against elements of a Soviet mechanized corps supported by lend lease tanks and a company of SU85s.

Soviet artillery and being able to concentrate their numbers kept them in the game as they took heavy casualties early on due to accurate Romanian artillery fire (dice rolls). In the end the Romanians bent but did not break as they held onto more of the hill hexes than the Soviets captured and their armor forces easily dealt with the lend lease tanks the Soviets fielded, the Sherman’s with 3 armor did not last long when they come up to support the Soviet infantry.
