Introduction

Upon the summit of Hill 277 sat Radar Station Oscar. The 1st South German Frontal Aviation HQ requested that the Army take out the radar station to reduce American effectiveness in the air. Orders passed down through channels to Major Vukachevsky. He began planning at once.

Conclusion

This is a very typical task for a company or battalion commander. The Soviets have the firepower to take the radar station. The American can just bunker up and hope for good results in the assault, but that leaves the Soviet free to maneuver. An active defense that ties up the Soviets at a distance from the objective might be more effective. After all, they have a time limit before reinforcements would show up and annihilate them.
