Air Attack on an Assault Hex....

Looking back on this...
I'm troubled that Hugmenot's comment is not fully addressed...

What we are doing with Aircraft in an Assault hex is DF fire into the Assault hex---which is illegal....
I"m thinking that maybe, since it's being treated as DF fire, we can't do it....it's not Bombardment its Direct mostly...
?
At this point, according to the game rules--I think you CANNOT use Aircraft against and assault hex, any  more then you can use
Machine Guns on such a hex....

NOW!.... AT Guns can be used on Vehicles in Assault hex....
I'm thinking if there is a special AT value on the aircraft they could do that....
