the Random Events table... - Shad - 06-12-2012 I haven't had this come up in my games too frequently, but the few times it has my (occasional) opponent and I always eagerly rolled on the table, despite knowing full well that the result could catastrophically change the battle. I would never use it for competitive play, but if you're just having a friendly battle I enjoy the added element of surprise. I voted Huh? only because I'm not at all averse to using them, I just haven't yet. Seems like it could make the games pretty fun. RE: the Random Events table... - larry marak - 06-13-2012 I like these tables, they only come into play rarely, and add a lot of variety to gaming situations. A good idea since way back then when the "Chance and Community Chest" article was published in the General for Panzerblitz. RE: the Random Events table... - Poor Yorek - 06-13-2012 "Nope, never" for me. I find more than sufficient randomness with the vagaries of the combat tables. RE: the Random Events table... - vince hughes - 06-13-2012 Never use em' RE: the Random Events table... - PaperTiger - 06-13-2012 I love adding the unforseeable to the mix. RE: the Random Events table... - Fenrir - 06-14-2012 I loved the Random Tables in the first PG-EF. In some of those infantry vs. infantry battles things can get really spicy when suddenly an armor/infantry kampfgruppe shows up or maybe a company of T-34s or both... ...good times! RE: the Random Events table... - Matt W - 06-14-2012 I enjoy the unpredictability of them. I had one scenario which combined with the random events table indicated that Romania got cold feet about crossing the Dniestr. RE: the Random Events table... - upintheattic - 06-14-2012 Fog of War rolls give me all the randomness I'm looking for. I might use the table to add extra replay value to a scenario I'd played before. RE: the Random Events table... - GeneSteeler - 06-14-2012 "Very Rarely" |
