SS Leaders

I seem to be missing a LOT of SS leaders in my files. Is there something afoot? The files are there but no specific "markers" for the ranks.

Leaders are normally in the leader extensions based on nationality and relevant to the game. For example; the extension Leaders - German Elsenborn Ridge would have the German leaders for that game. That will include Heer, SS and Luftwaffe leaders. The draw leaders window would look like this:

In particular, I am looking for SS Leaders in the "Deluge" scenario nr. 4. While looking for them I checked the other SS leader files and found only a blank strip with no "counter" markers on them. I suppose I could use the Elsenborn Ridge Leaders, but are they the same caliber as those found in 1939?

Actually the early SS leaders are worse. That is because loyalty was much more important than competency. (Like we haven't seen that before. )

The file you need is Leaders - German Sinister Forces. I just downloaded it and had no issues, so we know that is good. If you download the game package, I presume you unzipped the files. If you didn't please do, not doing so sometimes confuses the Vassal engine.

Now the checklist:

1. If you are starting a shared game, make sure your opponent has the Leaders - German Sinister Forces extension loaded too.
   
2. Clear the Tile Cache. The command for that is under Tools in the main Vassal window.
   
3. Make sure you only have one copy in your extensions directory. Some compression utilities (especially on Macs) try to be helpful and rename a second copy of a file.
   
4. Delete the extension you have and download another copy.

Then the problem lies within my computer. I downloaded as directed and ended up with the same set up as before, even down loading Leaders - German Sinister Forces. (I even replaced all the files.) Go figure!

Speaking of files..... I have had "Fire and Sword - Uprising" for a couple of weeks now and it hasn't gotten itself into the files system as of yet.

I have it on order, along with An Army at Dawn: Mareth Line, Infantry Attacks: The Iron Dice of War and Infantry Attacks: A Contemptible Little Army. It hasn't shown up yet.

When I try finding the early war SS leaders, all I see under the Random Counters tab, is the frame with no actual counters in it
