If you have the time for a 30-turn large game and at least one of the players is facile vis-a-vis the rules and play, then the classic Scenario 22 (St. Vith: the Fall) from ER might work well. Specifically, have the more experienced player take the Germans and split the US defense between two players with one commanding the units originally placed on the northern boards (24 and 25) and the other the southern boards (22 & 23). This way, even should the German player concentrate the attack axis on the northern or southern E/W road, both US players can fully contribute throughout the scenario (no movement restrictions on the US once the Germans enter the board).
It is a scenario from a commonly owned boxed game (no other pieces required) and is well-vetted for being an excellent scenario. And, I think, the two US players would feel equally engaged (VP hexes on boards controlled by each US player). Minimal SSRs (no aircraft, hidden units, etc., just decreasing visibility and random snow event). Lastly, would also be convenient to set the players at the table: German to the East, US #1 to the North; and US #2 to the South.
Slowing the Juggernaut from Romanian Soil also comes to mind (German + Romanian vs. Soviet), but that requires boards and pieces from multiple games.
