German Losses Under Vince's FTF Command

Just looking at some numbers after reaching 120 scenarios played involving German forces. Its amazing how these add up once the game numbers get clocked in ! Those games by year have been as follows:

I logged every dice roll for a few solo scenarios but gave up on the idea when I realized it was doubling my playing time and the information was not that useful for what I was trying to accomplish. I am still struggling about what information I want to keep long-term so your post kind of cheered me up!

Losses are far easier to log as its an end of game activity and does not impede the in-game progress. I think its a throw-back to my sports-replay stat-keeping.

Worse battle for me as far as losses were concerned was "Gates of Komorn" against Wayne Baumber. My troops suffered 15 FOOT steps, 10 leaders, 24 AFV's, 6 APC's and 6 Ordnance for a total of 51 steps !! The leaders fell like nine-pins in this battle, but for all that, I clung on for a close win.

The same battle was also the most casualties I'd inflicted on an enemy with the Soviets taking 40 FOOT steps, 9 leaders, 43 AFV's, 17 APC's & 3 ORDnance for 103 steps. In fact, looking back at the losses in this battle, it seems quite staggering but didn't seem so at the time. Oh well, war is hell I guess.

Strangely, the most FOOT steps I've inflicted in a battle was not against Soviets, but against British & Empire troops in "The Utmost Vigour" # 16 from South Africa's War. The allies took 44 FOOT step losses in that one.

My heaviest FOOT losses were in that most horrible of scenarios "The Demyansk Pocket" in Sinister Forces. 31 FOOT steps in that one, though there have been two scenarios against US Forces where I have suffered 27 FOOT steps eliminated.

I know it is Mike, but I blame playing sports-replay games where stats are de rigeur or rigour ? Or even a raison d'etre (Im sure Daniel will correct me on these French expressions)

Those Tigers were lost in a RtB scenario where there are just 5 steps of them (no other Germans) trying to cross a board. They got hit by an X OBA (snake eyes on the 16col) and with a morale of 6, they all failed and were then swarmed over by a mass of Soviet Cavalry .... dreadful experience that I shall never forget (RtB # 20 check it out)
